Falange Exterior (1936-1945): State of the question and lines of investigation
Abstract
From January 1936 to December 1945, the Foreign Service of Falange spread throughout Europe, America, Asia and Africa, reaching several tens of thousands of Spanish emigrants. Despite which it has deserved a tangential and punctual treatment by the historiographic production. This article carries out a review of the historiography in this regard and an analysis of what should be the lines of research and proposals for a global and in-depth study of this section of the Falange, analyzing how it was established and developed both in the central services, the National Delegation of the External Service of Falange, the Foreign Exchange and Propaganda Service, etc., and how it spread in different territorial sections around the world.
