The Year of the Soccer. Polish Emigration in Spain and some Activities of Solidarity with Solidarnosc (1981-1989)
Abstract
The Polish emigration to Spain was historically not very abundant. Hence the actions of help and support to Solidarność were very weak compared to other European countries. On the one hand, there was a certain solidarity from the Polish trade union members with support of Spanish unionists and there was a slight action of sending economic aid by the new refugees and the oldest colony from the postwar era. In short, and despite its small size, the Polish exile did not hesitate to maintain ties with its struggling compatriots in the country.Downloads
