La comunicación entre los amantes por medio de involuntarios terceros: Decameron III, 3 y La discreta enamorada de Lope de Vega
Abstract
Lope’s Discreta enamorada is one of the eight plays adapted from Decameron III, 3. Although both texts follow the same main plot, it is plain to see that different mechanisms move either the poetic sense of both works and their ultimate aims. Thus, despite the same starting point and an identical standpoint about the characters, each writer creates a literary universe of his own with plot and cast of characters expanded and the intellectual sense replaced by love scheming in Lope, giving way to new themes not present in the novella.Downloads
