El mito de Prometeo en la poesía y en la filosofía de Miguel de Unamuno
Abstract
Miguel de Unamuno approaches in his poetry and his philosophy the figure of Prometheus and makes use of the rich symbolism of the myth. Unamuno identifies himself with a Prometheus that embodies human awareness and its yearning for knowledge and immortality, and, at the same time, with a hungry entrails-eating vulture which symbolizes reason and the impossibility of believing in a conscious immortality. A dialectic is thus created between both figures which stands for the author’s own personal drama.Downloads
