Euripides’Andromache, a Choral Tragedy
Abstract
Andromache is a choral tragedy because the singular role of the chorus in the whole play and because in its plot there is a group of couples/trios, which lead the course of a very productive epic-dramatic sagas in the cultural and literary Greek tradition; two women faced, Andromache and Hermione, are the main characters of these couples/trios. It is also a choral tragedy because both parts involved in the greatest mythic war of the Antiquity achieve their fi nal destiny.Downloads
