Videoludic Sound Heritage: Appreciation, Conservation and Sustainability
Abstract
This article analyzes the main difficulties that must be faced to preserve the sound components of video games. It is also intended to vindicate the need to develop new methodologies that identify and recognize the value of videoludic sound heritage. To this end, a reflection on the main institutional recommendations of UNESCO for the selection, conservation, and sustainability of digital objects is also presented as a starting point for the preparation of future working documents that contemplate specific measures to preserve music and sound. of videogames, essential elements of digital heritage.
