Abstract

New records are reported to the checklist of the bryological flora of Argentina, the knowledge of which maybe interesting under a chorological and ecological point of view.We emphasize Orthostichella versicolor (C.Müll. Hal.) B. H. Allen & W. R. Buck, a new record for Argentina, Neckera scabridens Müll. Hal. is a new record for Chubut and Salta; Leptodon smithii (Hedw.) Web. & Mohr., and Racomitrium lanuginosum (Hedw.) Brid. are new for the provinces of Chubut and Neuquén. The rest, Acrocladium auriculatum (Mont.) Mitt. and Rigodium implexum Kunze ex Schwägr. are new for Chubut; Orthostichopsis tenuis (Jaeg.) Broth. for Tucumán, Orthostichella pachygastrella (C.Müll. Hal. ex Ångstr.) B. H. Allen & Magill in Jujuy and Hypopterygium arbuscula Brid. in Misiones. Pilotrichella cythipoma (Müll.) Hal.) Kindb. should be excluded from the bryological flora of Argentina since; this name is considered as synonym of Orthostichella pachygastrella.
