Abstract

Dacosta, N.; Rodríguez-Rajo, F. J. & Jato, V. 2004. Aeropalinology of Pobra de Trives (Ourense) and its relationship with meteorology. Year 2002. Bot. Complut. 28: 109-120. An aerobiological study of the atmospheric pollen content in a rural area: Pobra de Trives (Ourense) was carried out by means of a volumetric pollen trap (model Lanzoni VPPS 2000) during the year 2002. A total of 32.590 pollen grains belonging to 51 taxa were registered. Quercus, Poaceae, Betula, Pinus and Castanea reached the most important concentrations, meaning the 61% of the annual total pollen observed. The highest pollen levels were recorded in April and May. Positive correlation with temperature and negative with rainfall and relative humidity were obtained when Spearman's correlation test was applied. The highest pollen concentrations were recorded in the central hours of the day.
