The materials of the Flora Gallecica of Pierre-André Pourret (1754-1818) preserved in the Real Colegio ‘Alfonso XII’ (El Escorial, Madrid)

Abstract
We present the discovery of part of the Galician materials sent by Pierre-André Pourret to the ministers Urquijo and Ceballos, and that these, in turn, sent to Cavanilles. They are three packages of plants, which contain 296 sheets, which we have found among the collections preserved in the Real Colegio ‘Alfonso XII’ (El Escorial, Madrid). A considerable number of sheets contain specimens with handwritten labels, with names that were never published by Pourret. Others are specimens of taxa described by Pourret or by other authors, based on materials of the abbe.Downloads
