Abstract

Furcraea parmentieri (Roezl ex Ortgies) Garcia-Mend. is an alien species native to México, occasionally grown in gardens as an ornamental plant in warm or mild climate areas. In this note we present information about the naturalization of this plant on the northern coast of the Rías Baixas (Galicia, Iberian NW), which constitutes the first record of this species in the Iberian Peninsula.
