Abstract

An update of verified information is performed on the presence of P. oceanica on the Atlantic coast of the Iberian Peninsula, reviewing both the references as different herbaria and we proposed the hypothesis that there was some confusion the ball residual Posidonia reaching the beaches with some spherical bodies, called bezoarios, which was formed in the stomachs of ruminants.
