Abstract
Throughout the last two centuries a great amount of bibliography has studied the town of Lanjarón and its waters. Most of it has been dedicated to the curing properties of its springs and to Lanjarón as a Spa. It has been rich in information regarding the multiple uses of the waters of this mountainous area, the changing economic exploitation related to this resource and its incidence in the historical configuration of the surroundings and landscapes. This article pays special attention to the spa’s vicissitudes and its interaction with the rural and urban setting.Downloads
