Globalización, traditional industry and territory in Castilla-La Mancha
Abstract
The article reviews the current development of traditional manufacturing sectors in Castilla-La Mancha, especially affected by the increasing international competition (Manufacture of Textiles and Wearing apparel, Footwear, and Wood and Furniture). With this work we try to offer a regional overview for previous study cases carried out in some local productive systems of the region. Our study, based on both the quantitative study of published statistical data and the qualitative approach (through a survey and several interviews), would confirm the intense sectoral restructuring. In this sense, it is evident the enterprises’ efforts on the internalization and technological innovation strategies, as well as the coordination attends between actors in the socio-institutional context.Downloads
