Abstract

In this article the recent demographic dynamics is studied in the Autonomous Community of Madrid.This dynamics regleja two important facts: the appearance of a stage of growth in the metropolitan traditional set of Madrid, as consequence of the increase of the growth of the metropolitan wreath and the demographic recovery of the Capital of the country, in relation with the improvement of the economic indicators and the increasing weight of the foreign inmigration; and the consolidation of an extensive expanded, periphery to the metropolitan set, in relation with the intensification and extension of the processes of periurbanization to the majority of the nuclei of the region and to others of the bordering provinces of Toledo and Guadalajara.
