Abstract
The interest for the spatial matters has accelerated the renewal of conventional econometric techniques, consolidating the role of Spatial Econometrics, in relation with a «New Economic Geography», which is focused on spatial interactions like neighbour effects (imitation, spillovers, externalities, contagion..). Initial experience with global and local methods of spatial auto-correlation analysis are applied at this time to new industrial births occurred between 1981 and 1995 in Madrid, Toledo, and Guadalajara (Spain). The results confirm the capacity of proposed methods in order to identify regional clusters of high industría1 birth-rates, diffusion process and endogenous growth.Downloads
