Big water supply systems on the coast of Alicante
Abstract
The coast of Alicante has been suffered important territorial changes since the 1960s and 1970s due to the tourist activity. One of the services that this activity need is the supply of drinking water. In this sense, for his strategic role, supply water is decisive for supply the tourist villages. The aim of this study is know and analyze the different water supply systems in the coast of Alicante, his characteristics, infrastructures, water resources and the management measures. Some conclusions are the strategic role that supply water systems make in the territory, specially, with water, because the scarcity of this resource and his importance in the coast of Alicante, in general in summer.Downloads
