Abstract
The paper introduces the situation of Latin American urban system, analyzing the growth population, using primarily air transportation as an indicator of territorial structure and cohesion. Air transportation connectivity measures are recently used, as well, to assess the inclusion of the nodes on the global arena, as it is also the purpose of this study. Permanencies and changes in the Latin American and Caribbean urban system will be highlight using quantitative methodologies based on descriptive statistical operations. The aim of our work will be to identify those nodes that burst on the urban scene and those destined to play a global role as main linkages between the region and the world.Downloads
