First graphical representations of the Prado de San Jerónimo of Madrid
Abstract
In the present work we refer to the initial moments of the development of San Jerónimo's Meadow as public walk during the reign of Philip II and deal with the first graphical representations known nowadays about this public space, arisen in the reign of Philip III after the return of the Court of Valladolid.
