Online techniques for correcting the pronunciation of learners of French as foreign language
Abstract
In the domain of foreign language teaching within the new social media, speaking and pronunciation have received little attention. We are considering here the usefulness and potential of integrating the social media in the university learning environment for teaching and learning French as a foreign language. In order to develop oral production and correction in pronunciation among students, podcasts, blogs, social networks and telecollaborative projects have been used, favoring audio recordings and collaborative interactions among students. The different techniques of correcting pronunciation that students, tutors and teachers have implemented in different environments and web spaces are described here, having obtained results in two techniques in the use of writing, five in the use of visual images, as well as four in the use of oral communication.
