Abstract

Integrating digital technologies into French language courses is the challenged assumed by the authors of this article. The presence of portable digital devices is a reality in our institutions and in our teaching practices in Portugal. Even if there still are reluctancies, teachers can consider this technological and pedagogical contribution as an added value to achieve their objectives. The transition from the paradigm of instruction to a series of strategies leading to a paradigm of communication is the path to reach digital literacy in the service of learning / teaching foreign language French. If we want our students to be fully-fledged citizens of the digital world, we must offer them educational scenarios that motivate them and correspond to their needs.
