Abstract

This article presents the nineteenth century editions derived from the Flemish-French vocabulary published in the sixteenth century by the language teacher Noël de Berlaimont (†1531). Entitled Small vocabulary or new introduction into the French language, these editions were printed in Brussels between 1813 and 1842 for Flemish people wishing to learn French. Alongside its evolution from the sixteenth to the nineteenth centuries, we mention other sixteenth century editions, which are reprints from previous centuries.
