Abstract

This paper deals with the novel Le Chercheur d’or by Le Clézio; it analyzes its narratological categories and temporal techniques. The storyline of the novel evolves around travels, and is characterized by the symmetry of narrative movements associated with time, thus creating a cyclical narration that anticipates the evolution from rite to myth.
