Abstract
Along this presentation, the concept of city of the main character from Alessandro Baricco's monologue Novecento is analysed. The main character is on board of a ship, the Virginian, during all the adventure. After showing us the literary vision of a particular reality, we will see how the director Giuseppe Tornatore has dealt with these representative features of the theater monologue in his cinematic version La leggenda del pianista sull'Oceano.Downloads
