Abstract
In Kyoto there is a house where the rich old men go to spend the night with young women. These girls, young and virgin, are drugged into insensibility. The fugacity of the time, the emptiness, the harmony between the body and the spirit… the beauty. The body in Yasunari Kawabata’s work is an open sign to multiple meanings.Downloads
