Tormentos asociados a los placeres del cuerpo: el abate Giambattista Casti
Abstract
Giambattista Casti, licentious abbé from XVIII century, loved all kind of pleasures during most part of his life, and suffered from syphilis. In this article I pretend to go through the evolution, treatment and recovery from his illness– however this is not a medical coursebook–, to understand how syphilis affected his quality of life, always mentioning –sometimes in a very deep detail– from Casti himself collected in his “Espistolario”.Downloads
