The fictionalized Spanish Blue Division: the cases of Ida y vuelta (1946), by Antonio José Hernández Navarro, and División 250 (1954), by Tomás Salvador
Abstract
Returning from the World War II some members of the Spanish Blue Division wrote about their experiences in the Eastern Front. These books were published to promove the anti-communist propaganda and to avoid the forgetting of this group in the Spanish dictatorship. Two interesting cases are the novels Ida y vuelta (Antonio José Hernández Navarro, 1946) and División 250 (Tomás Salvador, 1954). Starting off these examples, the paper aims to detect the topics of the literature about the Spanish volunteers in the Soviet union.Downloads
