Eros behind the Barricades
Abstract
The university and workers’ revolt of May 68, which claim to subvert reality in full, had to be content with some social achievements, among which some in the realm of the erotic. Moreover, in the very representation of events, the field of eroticism has a special place, being one of the engines with which young people operate the intended change. Here are two very different literary proposals to the narrative corpus of May 68 in Paris, to see what place has the category of the erotic in them, and how they are combined with the system of ideas of this period.
