Juan de Mena and Luis de Camoens’ contributions to cultivated language
Abstract
Laberinto de Fortuna had a huge echo in Portugal where it became a model to follow when it comes to its form, style and topics for Os Lusíadas. It was also a linguistic model and the purpose of this work is to show the influence that Laberinto de Fortuna’s cultivated vocabulary had on the configuration of a modern Portuguese vocabulary, whose greatest expression was Camoes’ poem.Downloads
