Routes of exile in "The Gulag Archipelago"

Abstract
The work of Alexander Solzhenitsyn, The Gulag Archipelago, is a direct witness of the so called gulag, the prison and work system in the Soviet Union. In this text the author draws a portrait of the route followed by the prisoners’ from their detention to the arrival at the final destiny. He makes that through direct interviews and his own experience inside the camps in the Stalin era. The repression practiced by the power is visible in the control of the space and the meanings and functions of this one. Focusing our attention on these two premises we are proposed to go across the literary space of The Gulag Archipelago.Downloads
