Abstract

Anticipatory grief is a topic that philosophy has paid little attention to, unlike the grief that ensues upon a death. One obvious particularity of the former is that it takes place while there is a still an interpersonal relationship between the mourner and the mourned. In this article I examined the impact anticipatory grief can have on said relationship, especially concerning those punitive reactive attitudes belonging to interpersonal conflict.
