The evolution of development programs from the end of World War II to the first decade of the 21st century: A systematic review.
Abstract
This article uses the methodology of a systematic literature review and the PRISMA guide (2020) to examine the evolution of development plans or programmes from the end of the Second World War to the first decade of the 21st century. Specifically, this paper seeks to answer questions such as: How have development plans evolved? Has there been a substantial change in the way development is understood? Are plans effective in achieving well-being? What kind of welfare? The studies reviewed draw some conclusions about changes in the objectives of the plans, as well as in the ways of achieving them, and in the approaches and methodologies of plans and their evaluations.
