University Development Cooperation in Extremadura: strategic keys and contributions to the regulatory reform of the regional cooperation system
Abstract
This article presents the results of a study carried out at the University of Extremadura (Spain) with the dual purpose of analyzing the internal challenges and potential of University Development Cooperation and formulating recommendations for the reform of the regional regulatory framework for cooperation policy. A participatory action-research process was articulated, applying innovative techniques such as constructive-participatory debate, political simulation and the photovoice tool. The proposals point to the need to create a sustainable and flexible scheme for collaboration between the University and the rest of the agents in the cooperation ecosystem.
