Abstract
This article presents a brief overview of the main security policies adopted in El Salvador after the signing of peace accords. Examine the setbacks and distortion experienced by the political reforms relating to public safety arising from the covenant of Chapultepec in the last two decades and the preeminence that have had the hand approaches in addressing crime in El Salvador.
