Abstract

This article focuses on some of the results obtained from the research conducted by the Favela Observatory-Rio de Janeiro, under the project “Democracy as an answer against violence in Latin America”. Its goal is to analyze challenges and tendencies for the mobilization of civil society organizations concerning violence dynamics that take place in the seven countries whose homicide rates are the highest in the region.
