Abstract

The influence of male weight on the variability of weight at birth has been analyzed in a population of mice (Mus musculus) in order to carry on a selection experiment for canalisation of that trait. The results show an influence of male weight on the pups weight variability. This influence suggests a genetic component on the variability.
