Clinical case. Bovine besnoitiosis
Abstract
The bovine Besnoitiosis is a disease caused by a sporozoan protozoan, Besnoitia besnoiti. It mainly affects to cattle but there have been also several cases in other ruminants. Because of the productive declines that it produces and it morbidity we can assure that it is a first magnitude emergent illness in Spain.
To decrease it dissemination, it is important to recognize the typical clinic sings of the disease, carry out an early diagnostic in suspicious animals, set the sanitary status of the whole flock and take the management measures adapted to the real possibilities of the farm, needed for the checking.
