Abstract

The psychological adaptation to the illness and death of a child is difficult for the variety of emotional reactions that appear along the process. To avoid difficult situations, it is helpful to know something about these possible reactions. In this article we discuss about how the children, their family and the health care team feel about death in order to deal with the child end of life. The target of a Pediatric Palliative Care Unit is to provide the best care to be able to live with the illness until the death.
