Abstract
Immigration is a permanent phenomenon in the history of human population. People, individually or as a part of a larger group, move from one territory to another for several reasons. In this paper we are focused on economic-driven mobility in the most recent period, by introducing it as a piece of a larger phenomenon, the so-called globalization and concentrating our perspective on the migrants’ job profile and their effects on the recipient countries. Under this research framework, it is central for the case study of Spain the assessment about the effects of migration flows in labour relations, both from a theoretical and empirical perspective. Economic theory, from a vision of neoclassical view, analyzes the impact of migration on employment and wages. Moreover, the empirical evidence is not robust. This article aims at making a theoretical review of the relationship between migration and labor market.Downloads
