Abstract
Foreign Direct Investments have played a decisive role in the internacionalization of industrial production of Central and Eastern European Countries as the foreign trade of these countries is under control of firms with foreign capital. Since systemic transition began, foreign firms have orientated an important proportion of their production to foreign markets. However, a big part of this international trade is trading between parts of the same multinational enterprise. The analysis of this trade for three countries in Central Europe –Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland- during the nineties show that multinational enterprises have integrated their subsidiaries presents in Central European region into their global networks of production and distribution through crossflows of import and export. But they have remaind relatively disconnected within their networks from locally owned firms who, as a result, have a more marginal role in the foreign trade of each one of their countriesDownloads
