Abstract

This article analyses through one exemple (Former Czechoslovakia and successor states) the relations between Argentina and Eastern Europe from 1945 till nowadays. In the bipolar world, the political and diplomatic links were reduced due partly to the peripheric roll that each one of these states occupied within the politics of blocks, with its corresponding limited margin of individual operation. But at the same time, they get a more important level in the period of post Cold War. Regarding the economical-commercial relations, we can say they got al least a level of certain importance during the Cold War, may be it was a different option to the capitalist world. Later on, these links decreased. It was due to the process of globalization-regionalization and the competence between them when they want to attract foreign capitals.
