La perspectiva europea: razones para la esperanza en Bulgaria

Abstract

Accession to European Union means, in general, connotations going outside of the strictly economic sphere, due to its signification regarding democratic values, social progress and life conditions. In the Bulgarian case, the hopeful meaning of the accession presents especially well-defined features, as a result of the particularly long difficulties of the current period of democratic life. The article tries to show the reality represented by accession further away from macroeconomic figures and institutional and administrative consequences, stressing its social relevance and the after-effects that it implies as a perspective to recuperate appropriate life conditions for the people of Bulgaria.
