Abstract
The objective of this article is to determine which human rights of the elderly (AM, for its acronym in spanish) must be respected by the regulations. For this purpose, the methodology used is an analysis of comparative law for eleven countries in Latin America, considering the regional strategy International Plan of Action on Ageing 2003 and the current researches with a focus type sociological policy, ending on an institutionalist model of the subject. The results obtained in two countries meet fundamental human rights, with the other countries have a lack of human rights to consider the economic, social protection and violence aspect against the AM.Downloads
