Abstract
This essay aims to review the main contributions to the argentine historiography of the late nineteenth century that Paula Alonso made in her latest book Jardines secretos, legitimaciones públicas. We also reflect on how her argumentative themes connect with Natalio Botana's classic book El orden conservador, in order to compare similarities and differences and highlight the relevance of this work.Downloads
