The gender perspective in judicial decisions. Their relevance on conflicts of violence against women
Abstract
Equal participation of men and women in the structures of state power is, until today, a coveted desire. The areas of power have been historically and are currently occupied mostly by the male gender. The subject is of significant importance when we decided to tackle social problems in which one gender, the feminine, is particularly involved. In this sense, the incorporation of a gender perspective in the legal system, both in policy areas such as legal or procedural, it is of crucial importance in the treatment of issues relevant to women and society as a whole, as is the case of gender violence. Taking a gender perspective in the treatment and judicial decisions requires us to recognize the inherent inequality in relationships between men and women and to seek the explanation of this inequality within the power structures of society. In this context, this article reflects on the effects of gender perspective and the role of female judicial decisions, especially in conflicts of violence against women.Downloads
