Abstract
CO2 emissions from mobile sources in Spain –mainly derived from transport sector- and its perspectives are the main research topics of the article, after the approval and implementation of the Spanish Act 1/2005 of “emission allowances market” and the National Plan to Allocate Emission Rights, 2005-2007. The analysis and projections deals with the region of Andalucía, selected as a case of study because its regional government has recently approved a new tax on gas emissions (CO2 and others) and also a regional strategy on climate change. The study comes to the conclusion that Spanish regional strategies and effective policies and mitigation measures at the same public level, in transport sector are essential to fulfil national climate change commitments up to the first period (Kyoto Protocol).Downloads
