Abstract
The current piece of work revolves the Law 20/2011, of 21 July, of the Spanish Civil Registry, which came into force on 30 April 2021, an act which has positively dramatically changed the Spanish Civil Registration Acts of 1957-1958 leading toward a legislative renaissance of the Right to the Citizen. The new framework to the Civil Registry applies to a Civil Registry of Persons on an ongoing one-toone basis, a Civil Registry for General Purposes, a Lone Civil Registry, the latter being computer-based and e-user friendly, an Offcourt completely refurbished Civil Registry, a Civil Registry compliant with the written constitution and international agreements, to name but a few. The intellectual itinerary throughout the Civil Registry Act takes us to certain major aspects such as the current law frame for a civil status, the key reform of article 30 of the Spanish Civil Code and of article 49.2 of Civil Registry Act, the one under surname placing equality or under the amendments to registry Acts boosted by a major reform of disability. Such article includes the latest legal news in the field (Norm 16 September 2021 of a General Directorate of Security and Public Faith – DGSJFP) in charge of ruling action patterns in transition periods). In short it lists the major points of the 21st Century Civil Registry in Spain.
