Aleksander Fredro y el drama romántico polaco

Abstract

The character of Fredros dramatic work is far from the Romantic spirit of the times. Instead it comes closer to the decadent decimononic tradition of peerage. Fredros theatre is enjoyable and entertaining for both its viewers and its readers. It presents very well constructed plots, which faithfully reflect the transformations in Polish society of that time.
