Abstract
The current article’s aim is to reveal the characteristics of the manuscripts used on liberal professions, in particular the vete-rinarians, for scientific training during the Late Middle Ages and early Modern Age. The specialists in animal medicine wrote down their knowledge, reflections and experience in several trea-tises, known under the generic name of Book of Horses are kept in different libraries in Spain and France and provide valuable in-formation, allowing a better understanding of the role of the ma-nuscript book as a transmission mean of veterinary science during this period.Downloads
