Peritaje bajo Juan II de un sello céreo de Fernando IV

Abstract

The article is centred on the expertise made in 1437 to the wax seal of a Fernando IV’s document presented like an evidence in a lawsuit between Madrid and El Real de Manzanares about the joint forest use of their respective territories. There is a diplomatic study and a critical edition of the documents of this king which are inserted in the proceedings comparing the version of the manuscript 10.679 of the Biblioteca Nacional with the originals and copies of the Archivo Histórico Nacional (Sección Clero, convent of Santo Domingo el Real de Madrid), Archivo de Villa, Archivo de la comunidad de ciudad y tierra de Segovia and Real Academia de la Historia. The work analyzes also the four different matrices used by Fernando IV: two for lead and two for wax.
