Noticia de un as de śekaisa con contramarca de asido procedente de Almendralejo (Badajoz)
Abstract
In this work, a coin from the mint of śekaisa found in Almendralejo (Badajoz) is made known. It is countermarked with a neopunic legend, which is interpreted as Asido. This piece would have been acquired by the Real Academia de la Historia in 1851. Antonio Delgado, former Anticuario, gathered this rare reseal. Of the three pieces with this countermark, this is the only one whose origin is known. Likewise, the accompanying coin set corresponds to what expected regarding the monetary circulation in the Beturia area, providing new information on this matter and confirming the origin.Downloads
